The National Stem Cell Foundation was excited to launch the inaugural class of STEM Scholars last week at the Western Kentucky University Center for Gifted Studies. Ten middle school science teachers from across the United States engaged in a variety of hands-on lessons throughout the week.
Teachers were selected for the prestigious scholarship through a competitive application process and able to attend at no cost thanks to a grant from the National Stem Cell Foundation. The teachers will return to their schools with a variety of ideas, lessons and resources for individual challenge projects they will implement in their classrooms.
